Outback Plains Day Trip 1 |
| "This is the heart of the nation, inspiration to
poets and artists of past and present. Birth place of pastoral
empires of yesteryear and leaders of tomorrow" |
|
|
Discover our friendly outback towns, Finley,
Berrigan & Jerilderie.
We encourage you to meet us down
the street for a cup of coffee or maybe a beer.
Historic
Pubs and other buildings are features of our towns.
Rural
life can be experienced with a visit to the Finley sale yards or one
of the diverse and innovative farms.
Local history will
surprise.
Ned Kelly's raid at Jerilderie and past champions
of Berrigan's rich horse racing culture are just a start.
Start by driving north to Finley, have a good look around
and go on to Jerilderie for lunch, then back to "Toc" through
Berrigan.
Make sure you ask about the attractions listed
above, to help you get to know us. |

Outback Plains Day Trip 2 |

poets and artists of past and present. Birth place of pastoral

Starting from Tocumwal, travel north to Finley.
First
stop is a visit to the Log Cabin on the right side as you enter
town.
Have morning tea in Finley then continue north and
take the left hand turn to Deniliquin.
You are now
travelling west through farming country supporting sheep, dairy,
irrigation & dry land cropping.
When entering Denilquin
look for the right turn to Conargo where we recommend the famous
Conargo Pub for lunch and refreshments.
Ask a local the best
way to Hay & the Shearers Hall of Fame.
Chats with the
locals can give you valuable insights into the history, the people
and their way of life.
The Shearers Hall of Fame will share
with you a vision of what the locals experience every day. Your
journey home may take in an outback sunset, stop and enjoy.
Take care when driving. |
