Southern Charm Day Trip 1

Southern Charm Day Trip 1
Today we would like to take you to the rich and diverse agricultural country we call Southern Charm.

The attractions will help you understand what this region has to offer.

We start with the unusual, at Strathmerton, just 15 minutes drive south, Australia's Largest landscaped Cactus Farm.

Continue on to Nathalia for morning tea and then to Tongala and the Golden Cow.

A working dairy farm display, where you can milk a cow, cuddle a calf and feed the farm animals.

Next, native fauna and the award winning, Kyabram Fauna Park.

Set in a native environment, which allows visitors to experience the true beauty and gentleness of our Wildlife Heritage.

After lunch, available at the fauna park, our trip takes us to Mooroopna and the Ardmona Factory Sales where produce of the region can be sampled and purchased.

So now with car loaded up we make our way back to "Toc".

Drive towards Shepparton and look for signs to Numurkah and Tocumwal.

We have one more stop at the strawberry farm situated at Koonoomoo 6km south of Tocumwal just the treat to finish a great day.

Southern Charm Day Trip 2
This next trip we recommend will also give you a valuable insight into this Southern Charm region.

We first take you to the township of Numurkah, travel south over the Murray River from Tocumwal through Strathmerton and follow the signs.

Here in Numurkah we recommend a visit to Marie's House of Dolls, a lifetime collection of 2000 dolls, and the Melville St Market for antiques and collectables.

Next stop, Shepparton, to the SPC Factory Sales & Packhouse Cafe for Lunch.

Enjoy the produce of this rich agricultural area at the sale prices.

Cannery tours are also available. Emerald Bank Heritage Farm on the south side of Shepparton is next.

A working farm set in the 1930s, with hands on experience and rides for the family.

The drive home can provide an opportunity to explore your own interests, with many attractions in the different towns along the way.

Whether its wineries, antiques, historic buildings or a beer with the locals.

We hope you feel comfortable to experience it all whilst travelling around. See you back at Tocumwal.
